About Patient and Family Advisory Councils
Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs) consist of community members who have experience as patients and/or as family members of patients who receive care at UM Health-Sparrow. These community members volunteer with the PFAC to provide their perspective and feedback on our health system and partner with our team members and leaders to improve the care and experience for our patients.
PFACs work with hospital leadership and team members to share both positive and negative experiences, identify areas with opportunity for improvement, help design solutions, provide feedback on ongoing work, and more. Feedback is contributed through regularly scheduled Council meetings, focus groups, or surveys. These contributions by our PFAC members are vital to ensuring that the patient voice is at the center of everything we do.
