LANSING, Mich. – It’s time to saddle up for a cause as the Sparrow Foundation hosts its annual “Boots and Bling” fundraiser Thursday, Oct. 30, to benefit women’s heart health.
The event, led by the foundation’s Women Working Wonders (W3) committee, will boast a glamorous Western theme and will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Lansing Brewing Company, 518 E. Shiawassee St., Lansing. The evening features line dancing, live music, and live and silent auctions. Attendees will wear their best Western wear with a touch of bling.
“We are thrilled to celebrate Boots and Bling in support of women’s heart health at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow,” said Michelle Geller, managing director of regional network development for UM-Health. “Thanks to our incredible Women Working Wonders (W3) committee, our presenting sponsor, Delta Dental, and all our sponsors, supporters and dedicated staff, this fun-filled night of auctions, live music and line dancing will help fund lifesaving diagnostic equipment and prevention efforts.”
Proceeds will directly benefit women's heart health services, including the purchase of equipment like Holter Monitors, which patients wear for at-home heart monitoring. The W3 committee has raised more than $6 million over the years to fund women's health initiatives in the community.
