At Jolly Road Pelvic Health & Lymphedema Rehabilitation, our highly skilled clinical team focuses on you and your goals by creating individualized treatment plans based on your needs. Using advanced techniques and the latest equipment, our team helps you achieve optimal long-term outcomes and independence with all aspects of daily living. 

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

  • Specialties/areas of treatment:
    • Frequent urination
    • Strong urge to urinate
    • Leakage/loss of urine or stool
    • Pain in pelvis, hip, low back, tailbone, penis, testicle, vagina, rectum, abdomen and/or thigh
    • Pain with sexual function
    • Constipation/difficulty with bowel movements
    • Pregnancy/postpartum pain or leakage
    • Post-surgical pain or change in bowel/bladder (hysterectomy, prostatectomy, urological)
  • What to expect from treatment:
    • Comprehensive musculoskeletal evaluation including postural and strength assessment
    • Most PT for pelvic region dysfunction and pain is hands-on and may include both internal and external therapy
    • We are sensitive to the needs of each individual and recognize we can only begin PT when you are ready for it
    • Treatments may include:
      • Pelvic floor muscle strength and coordination training
      • Myofascial, visceral, soft tissue, and scar mobilization techniques as indicated
      • SEMG (biofeedback)
      • Instruction in exercises and/or the use of equipment to aid in the recovery of function
      • Education related to pelvic floor musculature, anatomy, function, skin care, hygiene, and sexual function as related to pelvic floor muscles

Lymphedema Therapy

Our lymphedema therapy team is led by established certified lymphedema therapists (CLTs), which requires at least 135 hours of specific training after graduation specific to lymphedema.

    • Upper extremity lymphedema evaluation and treatment including, but not limited to:
      • Post-surgical education and treatment (secondary)
      • Primary lymphedema treatment (non-surgical)
      • Self-massage
      • Manual lymphatic drainage
      • Compression bandaging and education
      • Exercise program training
      • Skin care education
    • Head/neck lymphedema
      • Post-surgical education and treatment
      • Self-massage
      • Manual lymphatic drainage
      • Compression management and education
      • Exercise program training
      • Skin care education
