About Me

Darci Foote, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon who is fellowship-trained in endocrine surgery specializing in adrenal, parathyroid, and thyroid glands. She completed medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan and her general surgery residency at Beaumont Hospital (now known as Corewell Health East) in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Foote then completed a fellowship in endocrine surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland before returning to Michigan to join the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery - College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. Dr. Foote’s clinical interests includes the management of functional and nonfunctional adrenal masses, primary/secondary/tertiary hyperparathyroidism, thyroid nodules/cancer, and hereditary endocrine neoplasias. Dr. Foote’s general surgical practice includes management of gallbladder disease, hernias, and benign soft tissue lesions. She utilizes minimallyinvasive/robotic techniques for her abdominal surgeries. Additionally, Dr. Foote has completed surgical education research fellowships with the Center for Surgical Training and Research at the University of Michigan, and the Association for Surgical Education. Her research interests include surgeon wellness/wellbeing, parenthood, and entrustment during surgical training
