Pediatric Critical Care

Leaders in pediatric critical care

We have care team members from two incredible universities – Michigan State University and University of Michigan – working side-by-side to care for children and families. All of our pediatric care teams are seamlessly integrated to provide consultations and advanced follow-up care when needed.

Advanced emergency and intensive care

C.S. Mott Children's Hospital at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow is home to Mid-Michigan’s only Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU). Our Level III NICU is a destination for critically ill infants and premature babies who need extra support.

We are proud to be Mid-Michigan’s only pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), a 12-bed unit offering 24-hour pediatric intensivist coverage.

We have the region’s only full-service emergency room for children. The Granger Pediatric Emergency Room is specially designed, equipped, and staffed to support the unique needs of children and their families.
