A group of students in the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) and their mentors visited the Sparrow Children's Center recently to present a check for more than $600.
The students were in town to volunteer, raise money, and spend time at Michigan State University. While at Sparrow, they also had the opportunity to paint a few of the windows in the Children's Center corridor.
DAPCEP is a nonprofit organization that provides historically underrepresented youth with innovative educational programming in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine.
