LANSING, MI – Margaret Dimond, Ph.D., an innovative and experienced healthcare leader, has been named President of E.W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She will be the first female to hold this prestigious position in the hospital’s 127-year history.

Dimond has deep roots in Michigan and an extensive background in all facets of hospital operations, including acute care, ambulatory, and physician group experience. She has a proven track record of success while maintaining a focus on caregiver and patient satisfaction, improved quality, and financial performance. She was part of the founding team of the Michigan State University Women’s Leadership Institute.

Dimond was selected as the result of a national search lead by a search committee representing board, physician and nursing leadership, and an extensive interview process that included input from caregivers across the organization. She will join Sparrow and relocate to the Lansing area in May after departing her current post as Chief Administrative Officer of Naples Community Health Physician Group in Naples, Fla.
