PHP dons pink while supporting women’s breast health

Physicians Health Plan Caregivers showed off their pink pride while raising funds to support women's breast health.

Caregivers bought pink PHP shirts, sold crafts and enjoyed "pink" pizzas from Hungry Howie's last week while raising funds for the Deborah L. & Michael G. Harrison Endowment for Mammography.

The Endowment was established at the Sparrow Foundation in 2012 to provide permanent funding for breast cancer education and quality imaging care. Debby Harrison's extraordinary generosity in establishing this designated fund to support women's breast health is matched only by her passionate dedication to increasing education about the importance of mammograms. This November, Debby will celebrate her birthday as a 3-year cancer free survivor.

PHP, a Sparrow affiliate, has been recognized through the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey as one of Michigan's best health plans for customer service. The plan provides high‐quality health care coverage to members across Michigan, along with Medicaid enrollees.
