October 2025 Sparrow Spotlight - Patricia Lewis

We are thrilled to highlight Patricia Lewis, RN, from Lansing Urology at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow. Here at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow, we know that our people are the heart of our mission. Every day, team members go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support one another. Patricia is being celebrated as a cornerstone of the urology team and for consistently being recognized for her unwavering dedication to both patients and colleagues.

A recent example captures her determination and patient-first attitude. Faced with having to obtain crucial imaging for a patient, Patricia didn't just make one call, she called multiple locations. She tracked down the correct information and secured all necessary documentation, ensuring the patient's images were properly uploaded. This persistence eliminated delays and guaranteed the care team had everything needed to effectively move forward.

"I try to make patients feel important because everyone is important," she said. Patricia is more than a great nurse; she is a role model for proactive problem-solving, compassionate patient advocacy and teamwork.
