New executive role to lead Patient, Caregiver engagement

Sparrow has created a new executive role to provide leadership for Patient and Caregiver engagement initiatives, emphasizing our priority of always putting the needs of the Patient first.

Patrick Brillantes, an Okemos native and former Executive Director of Orthopedics, Neurosciences, Outpatient and Metabolic Services at Sparrow, has been named Vice President of Consumer and Caregiver Engagement.

“Every single Caregiver drives our mission of improving the health of the people in mid-Michigan,” said Mark Brett, Senior Vice President of Affiliate Operations at Sparrow. “Patrick is an outstanding leader and will focus on engaging Caregivers so they can focus on providing quality, compassionate care to everyone, every time.”

Brillantes joined the Sparrow family in 2007 and previously worked for Allegiance Hospital as Administrator of Home Care, Hospice and Medical Supply.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Western Michigan University.

Brillantes is a Chapter Board Member and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
