Michigan State University students are gearing up for a day-long dance marathon on Saturday to support children’s health.
The annual MSU Dance Marathon raises money and awareness for the Sparrow Children’s Center, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, as well as the Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation.
The goal is for students to stand on their feet for hours at a time to symbolize the struggles children and young-adults fighting cancer and other medical diagnoses go through on a daily basis.
Nationwide, the Dance Marathon movement has raised more than $100 million for CMN Hospitals since 1991.
The MSU Dance Marathon will be held on campus at the IM Circle on beginning at 10 a.m. Participants can register through the day of the event.
