Sparrow OB/GYN Residents unanimously chose Karla Geci-Call, Environmental Services Tech, as their 2014 Unsung Hero.
This is the first time a Caregiver from Environmental Services has been selected for this award, which honors and thanks someone who does a lot for the OB/GYN Residents without a lot of recognition.
"I am very proud of her and also grateful to our OB Residents for this recognition," said her Environmental Services Director Reza Tavakoli. "This recognition is simply awesome!"
Karla joined Environmental Services in 2013 and continuously exceeds her customers' expectations.
She is known for leaving little notes and Christmas treats for the Residents. She is so genuine in her care for the Residents that they were actually surprised when they realized everyone got this special treatment.
"She makes you feel like this attention is just for you," said one of the Residents.
Karla was recognized during the OB/GYN Residents' graduation.
