Free stroke screenings, information at Awareness Month event

Warning signs for stroke:

Facial weakness

  • Have person smile. Does one side droop?

Arm weakness

  • Lift both arms up. Does one arm drop?

Speech difficulty

  • Is speech slurred or unclear?

Time to call

  • Note time symptoms started. Call 911.
