Sparrow Caregiver Colleen Sutherland has been named the Volunteer of the Year for the Clinton County Historical Society's Paine-Gillam-Scott Museum.

Sutherland, an Environmental Services Tech at the St. Lawrence campus, has volunteered at the museum for 35 years after being asked to assist with decorating the museum's holiday tree for a Victorian Christmas Celebration

Over the years she has continued to contribute her decorating skills, and also helps with mailings, special events, office work, acting tour guide, and cleaning. She especially likes displays on U.S. presidents and the museum's General Store.

Sutherland was recently recognized for her 40 years of service at Sparrow, where is well-liked by Patients and Caregivers and often gets compliments on the work she performs. She is also a Lay Eucharist Minister and serves at her church, and she loves to travel.
