The 4th Annual Breastival, for breast cancer survivors, family, and friends, will be held on Monday, Feb. 8, from 7-9 p.m. in the 3rd Floor Atrium of the Sparrow Professional Building.

The event, hosted by the Women’s Information Network and Support (WINS) and sponsored by the Sparrow Cancer Center, celebrates breast health and survivorship and provides tools to help Patients during recovery.

The expo-like evening features information and vendor tables staffed with people who volunteer their time and service, including Sparrow Physicians. Attendees can also play games and are treated to chair massages and reflexology treatments.

“This has been a big success, with more than 250 survivors, family and friends in attendance last year,” said Sparrow Cancer Center Breast Care Navigator Sharon Cosgrove, BBA, RN, OCN. “The Patients love it.”

The Sparrow Breast Cancer Clinic, accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), features a multidisciplinary approach, including a breast surgeon, clinical trials specialist, genetics counselor, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, pathologist, and breast cancer support group volunteer to care for each Patient. The team also works with our partners at the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
